ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, March 20. j A woman, Jessie Gill, aged 87, died ( at tbe hospital from bursa sustained through setting fire to bedding while pursuing the habit of smoking in bed> Wangahci, March 20. A mau named Samuel Toslin was found dead in bed on Wednesday evening, An inquest was commenced to-day, but was adjourned to etfable further inquiries to be made. Nelson, March 20.
On Wednesday afternoon same Maori boys at.jthe Oroixelles weie playing with a gun, wheu Henry Hipotiti, aged 15, wns shot about the face and upper part of the body, Miss Kejly, a teacher at the Maori school, rendered usaistance ; but owing to the tide a b >at could .not leave,for Nelson till this morning. The boy has been taken to the hcspital. The. injuries are not thought to be serious, but there is danger of the boy losing on« eye. - An accident happened to thu Blenheim coach this morning at Wangamoa Bill. Ont wheel came off, letting the ceach down. Tha passengers were spilled,' but the horses were kept in band, and nothing worse th na few bruises were sustained. One of the passenger* obtained a bicycle and rode in for another vehicle. *
