NELSON DIAMOND JUBILEE.
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Nelson, February 4. The Premier, Sir Joseph Ward, and Hon. C. H. Mills left by the Tutanekai this evening for Wellington, The leading feature of to-days celebrations was the military review and tournament. The mounted corps of the district, artillery, and infantry took purl; in tbe former, and the tournament was a big success. Marines from the warships also gave an exhibition, and were received with cheers. The Premier' opened a Japanese bazaar in aid of the Presbyterian Church, before a large atteadance. Mrs SBddon, Sir Joseph and Lady Ward were also present. In tbe bowling tournament Nelson Beared 29 against Palmerston North seven. Nelsoa also defeated Blenheim by 20, and Blenheim beat Palmerston North by three points.
