A few weeks back the prospeots of the fruit prop were not very rosy, but recent rains havo changed the aspect of things just as has happened with the grain harvest, In official circles a good average yield of fruit is now minted upon, Disappointment is, however, felt by the Department of Agrioulture at the laok of interest shown by some fruit-growing and horticultural societies in connection with requests for information as to the fruit crop. Probably next season a new method of obtaining the desired data will be required.
