On the Sunday before Christmac, the Primate of New Z«al*nd, Bishop Cowie, wifhee all people of the Auckland dioctse to offer apodal prayers to Almighty God in relation to the deplorable state of affairs in South Africa. He has asked other bishope to observe the day in like manner.
