NOTES BY " VEDETTE." The triangular rifle match between the" Kitten, Guards, and Rifle Club, arranged for Thursday, had to be abandoned, owing to the wretched weather prevailing. The match will be fired in a fortnight's time. In spite of the heavy rain which fell all through the afternoon the Rifles continued their second competition for I the clock and class prizes, at 500 and 600 yards range s. I The principal scores were as under: —
The remainder were below 50. The first competition for trophies for Saturday shots will take place tomorrow (30th), at 200 and 300 yards ranges. Members of the Rifles are reminded that volley firing will take place at Frankleyroad at 5 a.m. on Tuesday next.
