PUB rRBSS ASSOOIAJION. Auckland, November 3, A young man named Ernest Buswell was driving a cart when the biitobing s»rap became loose and the horee bolted. Buawell was thrown on the road, one of the wheels passing over the side of his face and shoulder, breaking bis jaw and collar bone. The unfortunate man was fearfully disfigurpd, Mid the chances are that the accident will go hard with him. Wellington, Novamber 2. At the inquest on James Mathers, who hung himself on Friday, a verdict was returned of suicide whilst temporarily insaao. D*cea«ed left a letter uddressed to the Inspector of polic. stating he was tired of life.
