» PKR PBBSS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, November 2. The Auckland Amateur Athletic and ! Cycle Club's Spriog Carnival was held i at the Domain ground this afternoon, the weather being rather threatening > and the attendance about 1500k, The high wind was against good times. G. W. Smith gave HQ exhibition over 120 yards bardies, and, though without, pacemakers, he oovered the distance in l6secs. Smith also comfortably won the 440 yards hurdles from soratch, in 60 4-ssec. P. H. Wadell, th&hammer- • throwing champion of Australia, won | bo'h the 161b-i hammer and 161b shot ' event?, throwing the hammer 127 ft. i 3in. and putting the shot 3&?t. 4£in. The club's Victor Ludorum trophy 1 which went to cyclista was won by W. Hendry, who carried oft the two and Ave mile handicaps and finished second is the mile..
