WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) At the monthly meeting of the above Board, the members present were Mr T. Western (Chairman), Messrs BrowD, Old and Turnbull. Coi respondence was read from the Land and Income Tax Department, forwarding subsidy of £64, and stitiug that amount owing Valuation Department for corrections of toll had been dodueted therefrom. Resolved that tenders be invited for gravelling on the Brown, Kelly, Devon, Richmond and Mfihoetahi-road?, and for formation on the Manutahi Eastroad. 16 was decided to take the mount of this year' 3 allocation on the j Ackworth-road, and expend it on the Kelly road, and the sum of £lO from the Penningfcon-road for the Waitararoad. Messrs Brown and Old were appointed to see what work was required on upper end of Wortley-road, and to expend a sum not exceeding £ll on same. Mr Western arranged to see the settlors on Tate-road re carting and gravel. Accounts wore passed for payment, and the Board adjourned. ■.
