WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT.
PEK PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, August 21. At the instance of the Colonial Sugar Refining Compuiy, the Conciliaition Board his i-sued a certificate of ; exemption from the Workmen's Compensation Act, which provides the the Board may do so, after ascertaining the views of employees and satisfying itself that the scheme cf ciiupon-at'on proposed is not less favourable than the provisions of the Act.
