Mr. Kivell, referee in the match St*v 11. v. Stratford 11., reported a Stratford player named Walker for deliberate rough play and obscene language. Walker had been put off the liald for rough play, and then came on ■ha fisld and used th'e language complainel of. He was disqualified for five years. The Uni- n decided to allow Tukapa II to play a friendly match with the Ok-to Ulub. Opunake having drawn with Waimate at Opunake for the southern senior championship, the final was ordered to be played at Manaia next , Sil urday. < Mr. Bishop, of the Ked House ' Hotel, New Plymouth, offered to put • up nine of the representative team free I of charge if they came to praciie for a , week. It was decided to eccept the 1 offer and to thank Mr, Bishop for his ' genorosity. The following are to be nominated | by the Selection Ojmmifctee for inslusioa in the New Zealand te»m : -Allen, Humphries, O'Dowda, Fookes, Glasgow, Lambie, and F. Bayley. Tas following fixtures are arranged for the rep. matches:—Hawke's Bay v. Taranaki, September 3rd, at New Plymouth; Wanganui v. Taranaki, September 6th, at Wanganui; Wairarapn v. Taranaki, September 9th, at Masterton; Wellington v. Taranaki, September 12th, at Wellington ; Auckland v. Taranaki, September 19 ,b, at New Plymouth; Wanganui return match, date not fixed, to be pliyed at Hawera. The following will represent the Southern Division on Thursday : —J. Woir, Nicholas, D.
