Henate Parata, the Government Commissioner, has been working energetically during the last week in connection with the accommodation and transpoit of Maoris returning from Rntoiua. During the last few days some sixteen hucdred nativts have betn passed through his hands and with tt e assist acce of Hone Heke re turned to their hemes. He has also been busy set ipg that the sick Maoris are attended to.
