Perry bad b»en working on a contract at Pataka,"acd on bis way to Gisborne got into the company of NUlson at , Spit, and shouted for biinsev«ral timfs, afterwards leaving with him to go to a boarding-house. On the waythithtr on a vacant section, overgrown with tall g>-aa>, Nillsoo, it is alleged, knocked Perry down and rifled his pockets Perry, who w*s ur.d.r tha ii fluence <i liquor at the time, afterwards gave information <o the police and accused was arrested.
