TARANAKI SCHOOLS FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.

At a meeting of the above Association, held on Saturday, it was ro:olved to change tho name from Schools Football Association to Schools A'hletic Associitfon, as from August, 1901, Votes of thanks were pa»s?d to honorary membeis and to members of the S'ar and Tukapa Fcotball Clubs, for assistance i endered in the past. It was resolved to hold a football tournament on 3rd June. The Taranaki district will be divide 1 into tec*ions for the working of the Association, the members of wlrch desire to note their recognition of the efforts of the Star Foothill Club to encourjgo athl'.-t'cs in the various school". The statement of accounts for the past year show : —Receipts : Wai'aro, £4 ; Stratford, £5 ; Opunake, 2s 61 ; New Plymouth, £9 12s 6d ; total, £lB 15s.
