OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE BOAT RACE.
A DlStr-DuNG STRUGGLE. OXFORD WINS BY TWO FEET. *BB P3ESS ASSOCIATION. (Received 31, 5.21 p.m.) London, March 30. The boat race was rowed in a strong gusty wind and rain. Cambridge woil the toss and chose the Surrey station. The boats pawed the Crabtree and Hammewmith bridge on level terms. The water was fearfully rough to Cheswick Church where Cambridge led by a length, increased to a length and a half at Barnes' bridge, where the watpr was comparatively smooth. Oxford spurted magnificently and drew level again at the Limes. Cambridge gamely responded and a ding-dong strugsle' ensued for the remainder of the coursp, Oxford winning by two feet. Time, 22tniD. 31eecs. Both crews were greatly distressed at the finish. Received 31, G. 7 p.m. London, March 30. The bbtting was 3 to 1 on Oxford before the 6tart of the race.
