LARGE NUMBERS OF THE BOERS SURRENDER AT DELAGOA. BRITISH COMMUNICATIONS TO BE HARASSED. A LARGE CAPTURE OF STOCK. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) (Received 26, 9.20 a.m.) , London, September 25. The Boers on the Delagoa frontier on Sunday destroyed a number of Long Toms. Commandant Pinaar, with 3000 Boers, crossed the Portuguese boundary and surrendered to the ; Portuguese. The men and horses were in a pitiable condition. Yiljoen, Botha, Reitz, and Steyn are leading a commando north of the Delagoa Bay line along the Selatij River. Their intention is to harass the British lines of communication. The Boers before evacuating Kcmati Poort destroyed a Long Tom 98 pounder and a Creusot gun. Major-General Barton captured 1600 cattle, 1000 sheep, and 17 goods waggons near Krugersdorp, Capetown, September 25. There were 900 horses and mules on board the wrecked steamer Suffolk. ATTEMPT TO BLOW UP RAILWAY BRIDGE FOILED. CAPTURE OF DYNAMITE. VILJEON TRIES TO J9IN DE WET. , Received 26,10.50 p.m. London, September 26. An attempt to destroy the railway { at Roodeval Spruit was defeated. A i waggon load of dynamite was captured.
