Mr. Jack, Engineer of the WaiparaOheviotßiil way, reports thata hundred men are employed at present on formation work, the furthest party are now working at Oanibi, Saddle, about eleven miles from W aipara, It is at this point that he ivy earth work commences. Most of the light forma* ion work is well in hand. The contract for th« supply of bridge materials has been lee, and the rails will be kid as soon as possible, There is now a complete working survey to Mount Purhjssus Station, on the northern side of the Waiau River.
