SOUrH CANTERBURY SPRING MEETING. SECOND DAY. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. TiMAitu, Soptembor C. Tito meeting was continued to-day. Racing was not to good as on the first day, and tlin weather was threatening and very cold. £ IU2B 10.s was handled, making a total for the meeting of .£3778, as against .£4258 10s in 1809. The following are the results : Hunters' Hurdles, of 14 miles.— Huntingdon, 1 ; Tekooti, 2 Crash, 3. Two others ran. Won easily. Dividend, £2 4s. Handicap Hurdles, of 14 miles.— Skipper, 1; Alex, 2 ; Zither," 3. Won by a couple of lengths. Dividend, £5 12s. I
Gladstone Handicap, of 6 furlongs. —Sara, 1; Sunrose, 2; Tengawai, 3. Won with ridiculous ease by 15 lengths. Dividend, £1 ss. Khodes' Memorial, of 1 mile.— Jupiter, 1; Nihilist, 2; Spinner, 3. Three others started. Won easily. There was an enquiry as to the running on the previous day, but nothing came of it. Dividend, £1 15s. Seadown Handicap, of 5 furlongs.— Paladin, I; Warrington, 2 ; Oorusa, 3. Won by a head. Dividend, £lO 6s. Trot,—Young Berlin, from 13 otbors, won easily. Dividend, £2O 14s.
