ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Wanganui, September 1
A serious accident happened to Mr. W. S. Dustin, the well-known caterer, at the Waverley Ball last night. He slipped on the floor and cut the arteries in his right wrist, through falling on the broken glass. He was brought into a private hospital, where an operation was performed. Auckland, September I.
Captain Butt, a coastal pilot, was thrown over the capstan bar on the barque Maybell through tho capstan taking charge on leaving Wellington. He sustained rather severe injuries.
