The- Secretary of the Treasury, Mr Henry Morgenthau, junr„ announced after an all-night conference with representatives of the British and French Governments that an understanding had been reached for continuance of the three-Power monetary agreement to maintain a practical equilibrium among the currencies. Mr Morgenthau said that there had been no revisions in the operation of the agreement, the three nations continuing the use of stabilisation funds for the prevention of undue fluctuations in their currencies and the maintenance of the ratio with each other. He added that Belgium, Switzerland', and the Netherlands will be informed of the situation.
