CLERGYMAN’S FINE PAID Indignation Of Presbytery Press Association —Copyright. (Received 10.30 a.m.) London, July, 2. Payment of the fine of £lOO imposed on Rev. T. M. Johnstone, former moderator of the Presbyterian ‘Church in- Northern Ireland, by a secret donor, saves him from gaol. Rev. Johnstone was surprised at the payment of his fine. He does not know the identity of the donor. The Belfast, Presbytery at a special meeting, passed a resolution of sympathy and confidence in Dr Johnstone,, and of indignation at the severity of the sentence. The meeting decided to take legal advice.
