Shows Affected I I I During a discussion upon the fixj ture of show dates at yesterday’s an- ' nual meeting of the Royal Agricultj ural Society, some effects of the 49j hour week legislation on show as- ‘ sociations were given by a delegate' from Waverley. I “For the last 32 years the Waverley I show has been held on St. Patrick’s ■ Day, except when it fell on a Sun- ; day,” the delegate said. “It now ap I pears that because of the 40-hour ; week employers cannot afford to give ' their employees two days off a week. This has reflected upon attendances at the Waverley show and has forced that association to change its date.”
