SCHEME IN AUSTRALIA REPORT TO THE HOUSE Methods Of Financing Press Association—Copyright. (Received 1 p.m.) Canberra, June 17. A scheme for National unemployment insurance in Australia is contained in the report of Mr G. H. Ince, chief insurance officer to the British Ministry of Labour, which was laid on the table of ithe Houce of Representaitives. The report suggests that the scheme be financed by contributions from employer, employee, and Government, on the folfowing basis: 9d per week for adult males. Sd per week for adult females and males of eighteen to <twenty-one years. 7d per week for females eighteen to twenty-one. The total annual cost to- the Government will be about £2,340,000. The. benefits will be 15s per week for a tsingle man, 27s for a married man with 4s 6d for each child. 13s 6d for an adult single woman.
