A Rebel wireless message from Salamanca announce 'that in reply to the Basque Government’® inquiry regarding terms of 'the surrender of Bilbao, General Franco demanded that it must be' unconditional. A Government communique states that Rebel aircraft again bombed the Santander Road in an a,ttem.pt to prevenlt the evacuation of Bilbao.
