TABLE TENNIS
Stratford Defeat New Club A friendly match between teams from 'the Stratford Table Tennis' Club nnd the Church of England Club at the former’s rooms last night resulted in a win for Stratford by 56 games to 20. The Sti< Ilford men won by 27 games Uo 13, and the lauies by 29 to 7. Mr Keat welcomed the visiting team andi congratulated the playere on their very good showing for a new club. The Church of England captain thanked the club and invited a team to a return game next Tueedlay. The results of the table games were: Table No 1, N. Ennis; No. 2, G. Brown; No. 3, Mr Dicker; No. 4, Mr Willans; No. 5, Mr B. Kivell; No. 6, Miss A. Jones. The A grade match w.l h Tikorangl has been arranged for next Wednesday. The team will be the same .as published last Thursday. With one win each, the match should be very closely oont'Li ed, and should provide a good gauge as to improvement in play last year.
