PERSONAL

Mr W. P. Millar, District Railways Traffic Manager, and Mr A. G. Grant, Business Agent, were in Stratford today and represented the Department at a sitting of the No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority. Appreciation of the services of Mr H. Le Betts as deputy secretary for a long period was expressed by the Stratford Hospital Board yesterday. Mr Betts has retired from his position as assistant to Mr T. L. Penn. Mr. A. W. White, Stratford Mountain Club representative, was welcomed at the monthly merting of the East committee last night by the chairman, Mr T. R. Anderson. Mention was alto made of the series of Mr. Brian McMillan who had previously represented ‘the club.
