NATIONAL MEMORIAL FUND
Taranaki Allocation Wllh a view to giving the various provinces of the Dominion a minimum objective in the King George V. National Memorial Fund Appeal, the respective contributions have been worked cut on a population basis. The amount necessary to establish four children's permanent health camps in the Dominion Is £lOO,OOO, and of this sum £50,000 is being provided by the Government, leaving another £50,000 to come from donations by local bodies, public and private organisations, and individual citizens. On this basis the Taranaki quota is approximately £2,442. It has been pointed out by the Government, however, that additional contributions, which will be subsidised, will be devoted to an extension ot the permanent camp scheme, and it is hoped that at least one additional camp may be established. The quotas, to the nearest pound, for the counties, boards and town districts of the Taranaki province are as follows: Counties: Clifton £92, Taranaki £205, Inglewood £lOB, Egmont £146, Stratford £l7O, Whangamomoua £4l, Waimate West £«9, Eltham £ll4, Hawera £lB6, Patea £123, Ohura £6S. Boroughs: New Plymouth £531, Hawera £149. Patea £44, Waitara £63, Inglewood £4l, Stratford £l2O, Eltham £6l. Town Districts; Opunake £34, Mnnaia £2O, Waverley £22, Ohura £l5.
