EARLDOM IN DOUBT

Posthumous Heir Expected Press Association'—Copyright. London, May 27. When the Earl of Londesborough died in April at the age of 42, he left no son. The earldom consequently has been presumed to be extinct, and the lesser title of Lord Londesborough was regarded as having passed to his cousin, Captain E. W. Denison. The Earl of Londesborough’s widow however, expects the birth of a child in a few months’ time. If it is a son he will assume all the titles of his late father. It the child is a girl she will have the status of an earl’s daughter with the prefix “lady,” ami Captain Denison will be as he is regarded now—Lord Londesborough.
