—oCause Of Hindenburg Crash Press Association—Copyrtgnt. New York, May 24. Dr. Hugo Eckener, designer of the Zeppelin Hindenburg, in evidence at the United States Department of Commerce inquiry into the crash of the dirigible at Lakehurst, said he believed that hydrogen leaking from a gas cell and ignited by static electricity caused the disaster. He discounted the sabotage theory as an explanation of the crash, and found flaws in other theories advanced.
