(Prom the special correspondent of the Press Association with the team) The sun during the afternoon made a soft, drying wicket ideal for bowling in the match between New Zealand and .Staffordshire; a minor county. Hadlee, Weir anidi Wallace alone showed ability to score. Lamason made a better beginning, but was beaten by pace off a difficult wicket, likewise Lowry. Dunning, during Staffordshire’s innings, made the ball swerve. He was ably supported in the field by Vivian '-.ndi Wallace. The attendance was 500. New Zea. I land in the first innings scored 119, and in the second had compiled 9 runs for the loss of one wicket when stumps were drawn. Staffordshire in the first innings scored 68. The New Zealand team comprises Vivian, Kerr, Hadlee, Ckrson, Wallace, Donnelly, Gallichan, Dunning, Lamason,. Weir and Lowry, and the Staffordshire team is Adams, Smith, A. Hlailowood, Scorer, Bryan, Ikin, Edge, Plant, Wakelin, Lawton and R. Hallpwood.
