It has been estimated Chait the gross proceeds from the sale of iron from the wreck of the Hyderabad, on the Waitarere Beach, will be befiween £l5OO and £2OOO. The demolishing work has not yet begun, although the vessel hat been marked off in portions as a preliminary. The two young men who have undertaken the work intend uting axy_ acetylene torches. The removal of the iron after Ithe vessel Was been dismantled will be an expensive item in the undertaking. It is estimated that a public meeting is being arranged' to protest against the removal of this wreak.
