BOXING CONTEST
Jarvis Retains Light Championship Press Association—Copyright. Invercargill, May 20. A contest for the professional lightweight boxing championship of New Zealand to-night, between Jack Jarvis, 9st VJlb., of EBliam, and Clarrie Rayner, 9st 7Jlb., of Blenheim, was won on points by Jarvis, holder of the title. It was an interesting- bout, Jarvis fighting more strongly over the concluding rounds. He wat clearly ahead on points alt the finish.
