WOODVILLE TRAGEDY Body Of Driver Not Yet Recovered Press Association —Copyright. Woodville, May 18. A 1934 sedan car driven by Victor Johnston, a commercial traveller, of Wellington, when travelling toward Woodville on Monday night, or early Tuesday morning, left the road in the Mianawatu Gorge, near the Ballance Bridge, three miles from Woodville, and shot over a sixty foot bank Into the river. The car was badly smashzd, but the bodiy of the driver, who was apparently alone, so far has not been, re-covered. He was a married man, eged 38, with one child, and resident at Island Bay, Wellington.
