FATAL INJURIES

Negligent Driving Charge Dismissed Press Association —Copyright. Invercargill, May 6. Charges of negligent 'driving and of failing to s'top when a person IraJ been injured, made against Leonore Millard, aged 20, were dismissed in the Police Court to-day. Miss Millard was the driver of a car which struck and killed her mother, Flora Millard, a widow, .aged 46, in Elies Ro: cl, on the night of April 24. In dismissing the charge of failing to stop, the Magistrate said that when the accused discovered 'that someone had been hit she returned within a few minutes to the scene of the accident. That was not the act of a “hit and run” motorist.
