Four thousand refugees, mainly children, were evacuated' Fh s morning aboard the Habana and the steam yacht Gsizekoizarra. Government warships escorted th© refugee ships to the three mille limit, where they were banded ever to the Royal Oak. Britishi destroyers reported that the Almivante and Cervera appeared out of the mist and endeavoured to cross the course. The Royal Oak signalled to the Cervera, which turned back.
