FAREWELL PARTY

Mrs W. Brown Entertained Miss Molly Whittle was hostess of a most enjoyable bridge party on Wednesday evening. The party, which was arranged as a farewell to Mrs W. Brown, who is shortly leaving for Central Otago, was held at the residence of the hostess’s aunt, Mrs Mark, in Brecon Road.

The. drawing-room was beautifully decorated with henna coloured chrysanthemums. Mrs Brown was wearing a smart frock of embossed velvet, flame coloured, and Miss Whittle looked charming in floral lame. Mrs Marks was wearing silver lame, and Miss June Mark’s choice was cornflower blue crepe, with silver sleeves. The guests were: ’ Mesdames W. Farquharson, E. W. McCullough, C. Lambert, and the Misses N. Thorpe, B. J. and O. Masters, M. Malone, M. Porritt, M. Curd, R. Furrie, M. Lyona and J. BremmeT.
