INTERESTING WEDDING

Mr J. Jackson To Miss Hope Penn A wedding of much, interest to Stratford people "was celebrated by the Rev. Canon Watson, formerly of Stratford, and now of St. Paul’s Church, Auckland, on Tuesday, when Miss Hope Penn, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs H. Penn, Hamlet Street, was married to Mr J. Ewan Jackson, son of the late Mr and Mrs Ewan Jackson, formerly of Stratford The wedding was of a quiet nature, only near relations being present. Miss Penn was given in marriage by her brother, Mr T. Penn, and the best man was the bridegroom’s brother, Mr Stewart Jackson. The bride looked very charming in a blue suiting tunic frock and small velour halo hat. She also wore a fox fur and a shoulder spray of pink carnations. Miss Lucy Penn, cousin of the bride, was the only bridesmaid. She wore a smart rust coloured tunic frock with veloui - hat of the same shade, and a shoulder spray of autumnal tints. A jolly wedding breakfast was held afterwards, at which there were about fifteen present.
