IN FIERCE GALE
AWATEA’S EXPERIENCE Rough Weather in Tasman Press Association—Copyright. Received 11.15 a.m. Sydney, April 24. Captain Davey, of the Awtea, has advised the Union Company by wireless that the vessel is fighting a fierce gale on the voyage from Auckland. It has been necessary to reduce the speed considerably. The Awatea, which was originally due early this morning, is not expected to reach port until 1 p.m.
