FOX ASSISTED. Accessory Fined £25 In Wellington Court. Wilfred Wolf Waldron, aged 23, a farmer, of Whangamomona, who pleaded guilty in the Stratford Magistrate's Court to a charge of assisting William Joseph Fox, at Stratford, on March 8, knowing that he had escaped from custody, was fined £25, in default six months’ imprisonment, by Mr. Justice Reed at the Wellington Supreme Court session to-day. Accused, according to a Press Association message, was allowed to pay the fine at the rate of £5 per month. Evidence in the Lower Court at Stratford showed that after Fox had escaped from the train at the Stratford station, Waldron took him fn a motor-lorry to Woodville.
