A hundred thousands persons are homeless., one was killed and el even were injured. The entire Manila fire department and troops fought the blaze for four hours. It started in a laundry, and a iiigh v.-'ind drove the flames quickly toward Manila Bay. Abatement of the wind prevented greater damage. The damage is estimated at £200,000.
