STRUCK BY BULLET.
FAT BOY OF BATHURST SHOW. Problem for Hospital Authorities. Press Association—Copyright. Received 11.50 a.m. Sydney, April 9. At the Bathurst showground today, Robert White, aged 15, who weighs forty stone, and who is appearing in a sideshow as “Bonny Peter, the Pride of Blenheim,” was struck on the back of the neck by a bullet which, it is alleged, passed through the sideshow tent of the “Bullet-proof Lady” into his tent. Peter was taken in the special waggon in which he travels from show to show to the hospital, vVhere the authorities were faced with a difficult problem. No bed or lounge was strong enough to cope with his size. Eventually he was made comfortable in a large easy chair. The wound is superficial, and Peter’s condition is not serious.
