“STRIP-TEASE” ACT.
Londoners Wil! See It. London, April 4. * Formerly declared unsuitable lor English audiences, the popular American stage stripping act by girls is to he presented at the Victoria Palace in London. Miss Diane Raye, an American exponent, will present the act. Kurt Rob'itschek, a Czechoslovakian impresario, under whose management Miss Raye is appearing, has titled the show “Strip-teasing You.” "I want to show London that rhe act is not vulgar-,” Miss Raye said to a representative of the Daily Telegraph. Victor Oliver, vaudeville comedian who married Sarah Churchill, daughter of Mr. Winston Churchill after an elopement to America, will introduce the act. Mr. George Black, Palladium Theatre producer, said after seeing a demonstration by Miss Raye that “strip-teasing” was unsuitable for English audiences.
