A Good Record.
Mantua, whose death in Otago was sported recently, raced over seven B-
seatons and over all distances from four furlongs t.o a mile and a half. She won at all distane's excepting seven furion,gs, and of 134 starts won 24 races, was second in 19, and third in 18. Mantua was the dam of Palantua, the 1933 New 1 Zealand Cup winner.
