Mr C. W, Boyd, the owner of Martara, has been made two substantial offers for the gelding. They were declined, but it was apparent that negotiations are still in train, for -.lter the chestnut had exercised on two tracks, he was examined by an Auckkland veterinary surgeon. In the meantime, it is the intention to take Martara to Auckland tor the Easter racing. The Crooner will also make the northern trip.
