FLOODS IN ENGLAND.
INUNDATED FENLAND Their Majesties* Sympathy Press Association—Copyright. (Received 12 Noon). London, March 21. Their Majesties have sent a message to the Fenland authorities sympathising with the inhabitants who have already suffered loss and hardship from the flood inundations, and commending the efforts- that have been made to avert serious peril. Thirty- lorries full of soldiers from Colchester have arrived at Ely, Cambridgeshire. They carry four days’ rations, to that they are self-support-ing anywhere. troops’ duties are to evacuate families and goods where' necessary. The Fenland is a low-lying region of England, some 70 miles long by 30 miles wide, lying around the Waih between Cambridge end Lin coin. Considerable areas lie belo—the level of the Wash.
