THE PUBLIC SERVICE.
' Tributes to the efficiency of the I Public Service generally and to the I consideration given by Government ■ departments to representations made J by the New Zealand Farmers’ Union ! were paid by the Dominion secretary I of the union, Mr. A. P. O’Shea, at a | gathering of Hutt, and Makara farmI ers at the Wallaceville veterinary I laboratory. “The union owes a debt ! of gratitude to the officials of the Dei partment of Agriculture,” said Mr. ! O’Shea. “I have frequently to make j all sorts of representations to the department, and. even though some of them might at times be hard to justify, they are always treated with the greatest respect and given every consideration. The same applies to other State departments, and officials of these are always glad to help the union in whatever way they can.”
