Pleading guilty to two charges of istuing valueless chsqurs, one at Wellington and the other at Christchurch William Cledap Morgan, a retired Army officer, appeared in tins Magistrate's Court to-day. Prosecuting, D tective - Sergeani Doyle said that accused had lived at the best hotels, spending a lot of money on drink and leaving without paying his board. Accused's counsel said that Morgan was expecting mon-y from Home. The case was adjourned for one month, the Migistrat’e stating that he would then be in a better position to give a d' cision.
