Nearly 1000 gallons of milk will be delivered daily to upward of 15,000 children attending Wellington schools when the free distribution scheme to operate on a national basis takes ef feet at the end of the month. Already children at some kindergartens are receiving half-pint bottles from the City Corporaitibri’s depot, but a fortnight will elapse before 1 it is possible to distribute to sctiooTs generally. The supply is ready, but delivery is held up temporarily pend ing the provision of suitable boxes at the schools Where the bottles can be left by the Milk Department until claimed when the pupils assemble in the mornings.
