CRITICISM RESENTED

Danish Explorer Loses Court Action. Press Association —Copyright, (Received 2 p.m.) Copeinhagen, March 9. Complaining of their criticisms in the Danish Geological Association’s journal of a book he wrote on geology in Greenland, Dr. Lauge Koch, the well-known Danish explorer and .geologist, sued nine prominent Danish, and two German, scientists for alleged libel. He claimed that they should be fined and ordered to pay compensation amounting to 2000 kroner, and the criticism annulled.

The High Court, IjoWeven, found that defendants were not guilty and ordered Dr. Koch to pay 3500 kroner and costs.

Dr. Koch complained that the criticism reflected on .his honour, because it was alleged that he misappropriated, to himself the results of scientific work done by other explorers.
