Caravan Fitments.
Among the chief attractions for women visitors to the Olympia Motor Show w’as the caravan section. Modern interior decorations have given a lead in the furnishing of the new caravans. Fitments in light wood, which resembles’ waxed oak, are built flat to the wall on the principle of unit furniture, to allow as much floor space as possible. A dressing-table fitment in one caravan had a lift-up flap with a concealed mirror, under which was a glass compartment for storing toilet accessories A shoe cupboard with shoe rails was in the same caravan. Cutlery and plates were housed in a circular pillar cupboard which fitted into an angle in the panelled walls. The sitting-room air was emphasised by the divans, w*ith their bluepatterned covers, which were builit on the lines of a sofa, with padded chromium-plated arms l .
