Senator Nye announced to-day his intention .of introducing legislation requiring the Government to manufacture all its own warships, guns, explosives, gas and armour plate, but to leave aircraft construe Von in private hands. He said that all the factories' that are needed to bo built could be purchased for .£ 4.729..GG0, which is less than the cost of a single battleship.
